Location Feature:
This article covers how to create a location inside FMHero's web browser if you're a Team subscriber. For anyone using our Facilities Management tools, go to that section to get the right steps in setting up a location for your FMHero workspace.
Remember - web access is for your Support and Administrative staff. Technicians adding assets and recording services should still be on their mobile device for their activity.
Getting Started!
Tap the location button on the left side of your screen.
If this is your first time using this feature, a popup will appear asking you if you'd like to allow FMHero to use your location. Tap 'Allow'. If you don't have your web settings turned on to find your location, this feature won't work. You can simply go in and adjust your settings on your browser to allow FMHero to use your location. We promise it's worth it.
If you're set to map, FMHero will locate you at a precise address. If you need to, you can always drag your map or zoom in and out to find a specific location or you can use the search bar at the top to find a location.
If you're set to list, FMHero will break down all the locations into a table format that can be used to easily find locations based on the filters you choose.
On this screen you can also create new locations. If you've already searched the address you need, simply tap 'Create Location' in the top right corner, and the address you typed before will auto-populate on the create-location screen. If you didn't already add your desired address, tap 'Create Location' and add the address. As you begin to type your address, you'll notice FMHero will automatically return results of potential matching addresses. If you see the address you need, tap the result and we'll fill in the remaining fields. Add facility details like whether it's residential or commercial, the location's name and finally the class. Choose to favorite (star) the location if this is an address your techs regularly visit, so it hits the top of your search list whenever your workspace-users need it. Once done, tap 'Save'.
Location Information!
Back on your location's page, you can tap on existing facilities to see the location information, equipment assets onsite, cylinder assets, other nearby facilities, and FSOs - organized by icon along the top of the location's page. Let's break this down in detail:
In the information tab, you can see the facility address and facility details, and you're able to add it to favorites and update the facility information.
On the equipment assets tab, you will be able to see all the assets logged at this location, along with information about them including data quality, name, make, model, serial number and more! For our Team subscribers, you'll only be able to see the equipment details of the units your team has serviced.
Under cylinder assets you will be able to see all cylinders currently at that location, and if the cylinder belongs to your workspace, you'll see their transfer details, and the refrigerant movements as related to your Team.
Under Nearby facilities you can see other locations added near this facility to the Heroverse, and you can search for them using the search bar.
Finally, the FSOs tab is a quick way to see all orders that have been logged to this location by the users in your Team workspace. Reminder, any of our list pages can be filtered or reorganized using the funnel at the top of the list, or the table-configuration icon near the search bar.
