Creating Disposable Cylinders - Web

This article covers how to create disposables inside your FMHero's web workspace for full cylinder visibility and management.
Pro-Tip!
If you are using Web to add your workspace's current cylinder inventory, take the time to organize the disposable cylinders by size & type, and then fulls and partials - it will make life easier, we promise!
You can also use these same steps later on to add newly-purchased refrigerant, or newly-acquired recovery cylinders - save this article in case you need a refresher on the process.
Tap the Cylinders icon on the left side of your screen.
You will be able to see all of the tanks in your team's possession and at locations your cylinders are currently located at.
On the right side of your screen, tap the green 'Create Cylinder' button.
Choose which cylinder type you're creating - in this case, 'disposable'. Add your refrigerant type, and pick your cylinder size.
Add your full and partially filled cylinders into the designated areas and the 'Current Refrigerant Weight' will automatically be calculated for you. Remember, partially-filled tanks must be added one at a time.
If these are 'Certified Reclaim' disposables, check the box to apply the reclaim identifier to this batch.
Add the location of where these tanks are currently located. Location can only be a place, not a member of your Team. If these are going to end up with a technician, follow up the creation process with a cylinder transfer (that process is outlined in our Web transfer article - check it out for more information!)
Final Steps!
For newly-purchased disposables, add a custom alias. The alias field gives you the ability to track disposables, because we all know disposables aren't serialized. Some FMHero users use a PO number to track each pound from purchase to charge and quick inventory audit; others will use a unique code or other methods to identify where the tanks came from or are being used. The choice is yours! For your initial inventory-onboarding, you have the option of leaving the alias field blank for now, and assign an Alias code when you're ready for re-batching or transferring the cylinders.
Tap 'Save' and you're all set!
