Batching and Re-batching

Batching and Re-batching

Welcome to FMHero Web!

Want this in video form?

Disposable-tracking is tough. With no unique identifier or serial number, we need a way to track each pound your company has purchased. FMHero has you covered.

Whether you need to re-group your disposables into smaller quantities for transferring, or need to merge batches together, re-batching is what you need. By batching disposables into controlled-quantities, you can track cylinders based on a custom Alias, like Purchase Order numbers, technician IDs, or other custom identifiers.

Let's get started!

Tap on the cylinder icon on the left side of your screen.

This will bring you to your Cylinder Assets page where you will be able to see all of the tanks in your team's possession and at locations where your cylinders currently reside. If you haven't added your batch of disposables, feel free to go back and watch our disposable creation video. For now, let's move on.

Creating Disposable Cylinders - Web

Find the batch of disposable cylinders you are trying to split or re-batch, and tap on that cylinder using the green arrow-button on the far right. You'll be brought to the cylinder Summary page. Keep in mind that in order to re-batch your disposables, they must be in your possession.

Tap the 'Re-Batch' button. You can either search for the batch you are trying to combine with using the search bar, or scroll through the applicable batches. You can also divide your current batch into smaller batches using a new custom alias on the right.

In this example, we have an existing batch that we need to break apart to transfer to one of our technicians. Add a new alias into the alias field and tap 'Use Alias'. You land at the 'Re-Batch' screen, where you can see all of your existing batch details at upper left, and new batch details at the bottom right. As you add any full or partial cylinders to the new batch, your weights for both batches will automatically adjust.

If you notice the total weight of your new batch is incorrect, make the refrigerant adjustment here. It happens - sometimes a valve leaks - accuracy is the goal for inventory management, so take the opportunity to document the adjustment here.

Refrigerant Adjustments

Double check everything looks right, scroll down and tap 'Re-Batch'.

A pop-up will appear explaining which screen you will be sent to next. Confirm the re-batch and you're all set!

Merging two batches together!

Now let's try merging two batches together. Remember, they must have the same refrigerant type and cylinder size for this to work.

Just like before, tap on the cylinder icon on the left side of your screen.

This will bring you back to your Cylinder Assets page. Find one of the batches you would like to merge, and tap on that cylinder using the green arrow-button on the far right. Tap the 'Re-Batch' button.

Now instead of creating a new alias, find and select an existing batch you want to merge with, and tap 'Next'. Push any full or partial cylinders to the new combined batch and your weights for both your old batch and new batch will be automatically calculated.

Tap 'Re-Batch'. Again, a pop-up will appear explaining which screen you will be sent to next based on your re-batching load. If you only re-batch a portion of the original batch, your next screen will be what's left of the original batch after re-batching takes place. If you combined the entire original batch with the new, your next screen will be the newly-combined entire batch of cylinders. Confirm your choice, and you're all set!

Congratulations on keeping your batches organized with FMHero!
